Music Classes Come to an End

Well, taking music classes at Cerritos College has been and enlightening and fun endeavor. I learned SO much and spent a lot of time reflecting on myself and the path I want to go down as a musician. I couldn't have done it without the help and support of my teachers and classmates who made learning fun and opened up new doors to self discovery. I have since become more active on Facebook, started taking guitar lessons and come up with a new sense of urgency when it comes to making music and getting ready to become public with my endeavors. I am SO happy and impressed with how this semester in college went and am excited to be continuing my education in music in the upcoming semesters. I will be working full time for a while and taking classes at night but will return to the more technical classes as soon as possible.

Out With the Old, In With the New

So, recently I've learned that in order to maintain a Tube Amp, you need to change the tubes periodically. I think this is a waste of money and the amp doesn't sound any better than a solid state amp so I will be selling it. Also I will be getting rid of an old flying V guitar that has active pickups...I can't stand the fact that the guitar needs a BATTERY to play. Very uncool in my opinion. What if I suddenly run out of juice in the middle of playing and I can't continue because my guitar needs a new battery? I think it's another waste of money considering the cost of batteries now a days. Maybe I'm just venting...I think I'm a conservative guitar player. What do you think?

Happy Thanksgiving!

I wish I was good at blogging. People tell me I am a good writer but I have a lack of compassion for it. I want to make blogs as best I can but have writers block sometimes. It's Thanksgiving now and I can smell some food in the oven and I've been out to the store a few times already today. There is no one out right now, I think this is funny because it's a holiday and I would expect people to be driving to their family and friends houses but instead it is desolate. I work tomorrow...I thought we would have the day off, it being a holiday and all but it's OK. "Another day another dollar". Some of the biggest chain superstores open at 6:00 PM tonight, I guess they're getting ready for black Friday. I heard some people are camping outside BestBuys to get a jump on sales. HAHAHAHA! Sounds like it could be fun.

Music Adrenaline

Today I've been feeling an extreme passion to create music. I play guitar and a I feel like I am waiting and building an intense and massive armory of riffs and genuinely original material to be released. I don't have a band now but am networking and keeping my eyes open to create that perfect combination of musicians to accompany me on a journey to shred heaven. It has been a long time coming and I'm ready to unleash some guitar fury!
